Most of my artwork depicts scenes from everyday urban life. Places and people that you have seen somewhere, but often overlooked. Aiming to create something universally recognizable, familiar to all.
Research and setting up a scene are the first and most time consuming steps . Even when it doesn't take me long to know what i want the end result to be. I tend to ride the wave of inspiration and not over analyse things . Inspiration that comes from internet culture, dystopian films, fiction and philosophers like Michael Foucault.
The dot-work technique enables me to create depth and atmosphere without losing detail, while still working in print. It is aesthetically pleasing while still retaining a specific style and look. Once the sketch is done I transfer it to a metal plate and print it with a cylinder press.
